Getting Started with EverMore

Hi, Seedling,
Welcome to EverMore! We’re a living career system where your reflection leads to direction, direction shapes your growth, and growth evolves your career. Think of us like a map with a built-in compass, guiding you on your journey.
Getting to Know EverMore
When you first join EverMore, there’s an onboarding workflow to guide you through the different bits and bobs. We also have you covered here.
Meet EverMore
What would make work meaningful and allow you to leave behind a legacy that makes you proud?
Regular reflections to pause on wins, challenges, and how you're evolving.
Ongoing, contextual AI coaching to think through any scenario while staying grounded in your North Star.
3-6 month plans for development based on insights from Retros and Coaching.
A living look into who you are, what problems you've solved, and where you're growing next, and why. User Handbook just added!
You can update your profile, invite friends, give feedback, and all that jazz.
One thing to know about EverMore is that all these different features play nicely together, so if you share something in a Retro or Growth Path, your coach will have that context elsewhere, like in a Coaching chat.
The EverMore Living Loop
You start with a North Star
You reflect in Retros
EverMore notices patterns
Coaching topics are suggested
You work with a coach on next steps
Growth Paths are recommended
Your growth feeds into your Portfolio (coming soon)
Your North Star is affirmed or revisited
You reflect again and continue the loop
Behind the scenes looks a little bit like this...

EverMore creates a living map of your work experiences and who you are—values, patterns, likes, dislikes, strengths, boundaries. The more info it has, the more insight it will give you on ideal jobs, environments, and styles.
Start Here—North Star
The North Star guided reflection is the ideal starting point. It unearths who you’re uniquely becoming and what meaningful work means to you.
It’s more than a goal—it’s a reference point for the identity, values, and legacy you want to craft through your career. Think of it like a vision statement for your career-as-a-product.
Your coach will reference your North Star from time to time to keep you aligned. You may even get nudges from your coach to reevaluate if there's a disconnect.
While it's not recommended for your North Star to be in constant flux, you can update or rediscover it at any time by visiting your profile.
The Coaches
EverMore has 5 coaches that act as thought partners and truth-tellers.
During onboarding, you can select your coach or take a quiz to discover your recommended go-to coach.
You can also change coaches at any time.
In an individual chat, use the right-hand drop-down to pick a new coach.
Or if you’d like to change your default coach, visit your User Profile.
Many Seedlings choose a coach based on their mood or the personality of someone they’re trying to understand better.
Retros
Retros are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly pauses to nurture emotional regulation and unearth career patterns about your skills, impact, and visibility.
You’ll celebrate wins, identify challenges, and capture learnings.
These structured reflections built the undercurrent of EverMore.
They’re used for:
growth pathing ideas and updates
surfacing themes for Coaching
updating your Portfolio automatically (coming soon)
Updating Retro Settings
From your profile in the right-hand corner, select “User Profile” > “Retros.”
You can update the cadence of retro notifications by frequency, day of the week, and time.
Pick a wallpaper to customize the retro experience.

Pro-Tip: Our CEO takes a Friday afternoon walk to do her weekly retro using the speech-to-text and text-to-speech features available for any reflection or chat.
Coaching
To start a conversation with a coach, visit "Coaching" > "+." This will open a chat screen with bespoke coaching suggestions based on what you've shared before.
You can select one of these suggestions or start a Chat with your own topic.

You can also continue a conversation by clicking on "Coaching," which will open up a list of past conversations. From there, you can also rename or delete topics.
You can ask your coaches anything, including:
What roles or careers would I be good at?
Can you help me role-play a hard convo with my manager?
How do I deliver difficult feedback to a team member?
I received hard feedback. Can we untangle fact from feeling?
Will you guide me through an interview prep exercise?
Since every response is tailored to you, the more EverMore knows about you, the better the answers. You can also share things like job descriptions, peer feedback, review questions, and more, to fine-tune the experience.
Our Seedlings have used EverMore’s coaching to:
advocate for a salary increase
request bonuses for their team
make a strong case for promotion
organizing 1:1s and hard conversations
update their resume and role-play interviews
complete individual and manager performance reviews
It can be scary to ask leadership for rewards and recognition. We built EverMore with tools and expert guidance to help you navigate these delicate scenarios.
One thing EverMore shouldn't replace is your judgment. EverMore can't make decisions for you or replace your unique lens + intellect.
Growth Paths
While Coaching supports real-time action, Growth Paths focus on what you’re intentionally moving toward in the next 3-6 months.
Growth Paths can be created manually, via AI, or a dash of both. You can chat with your coach to develop your objective, and have the option to let AI take a "Best Guess" at your milestones. If you're unsure of what it will take to achieve your goals, give the "Best Guess" button a whirl; you can always edit the results.

Our Seedlings have used Growth Paths to:
have a growth convo with their manager
complete company goal setting
prepare for a promotion
pursue a career pivot
and more.
No matter why you craft one, we encourage finite, achievable goals tied to your North Star (aka why the growth matters). Throughout your journey, your coach will check in during Retros and Coaching chats on how your Growth Path is going.
Completed Growth Paths become part of your Portfolio (coming soon).
Portfolio
Portfolio is where your living career story will go. It's fed by these other features, so we're building it one piece at a time.
Meet our first piece—The User Handbook
This is a place to discover and share what it's like to work with you. It's an artifact that helps in interviews (as the interviewer and interviewee), when joining a new team, or welcoming a new team member.
To develop your handbook, go to Portfolio > User Handbook. From here, you'll be able to create your handbook.
Building your handbook
Start by customizing a title, URL, and background for your handbook. You can change the title and background anytime, but the URL is one-and-done.
Then add sections. If you choose a templated section, you can type in your content, or you can hit "Discover" to walk through a reflection with your coach.
After you answer the questions, your coach will make a suggestion, which you can edit as you see fit.

If you have additional sections you'd like to include, choose "Custom Section." From there, you'll be able to select a heading and add your content.
For an example, view our CEO, Courtney's, User Handbook.
Other things to know about the handbook
You have light formatting options for text, and you can add images + links.
Each section has the option to toggle it on/off. You can use this if you're still drafting a section or for sharing in different contexts.
You'll want to "Save" your content along the way. When you're ready, you can "Preview" your handbook and then hit "Publish."
You can come back and edit this at any time.
The following Portfolio features are coming soon:
a Living Resume that automatically updates for you to keep your wins fresh
an interview guide to help you keep track of how you could answer common questions like "Tell me about yourself" or "What are your strengths?"
a case study collection where we help you frame your wins so employers can hear the impact clearly
We want EverMore to be where folks go to think about, shape, and share their career, so expect Portfolio to continue to evolve. Hopefully with your feedback!
