EverMore Edit: The Reflection Renaissance

Dear Readers,

There's something about January that makes us want to split ourselves in two.

The New Year arrives with its familiar pressure—reset, renew, become someone better. We're supposed to shed the old version and step into a shinier, more productive self.

But what if the ritual isn't about becoming someone new? What if it's about untangling who we already are from what's been layered on top?

Work has a way of defining us. It shapes how we see ourselves, what we believe we're capable of, what we think we deserve. Over time, the feedback, the roles, the power dynamics—they all weave into our identity. We start to believe that who we are is who others say we are.

We find ourselves tangled in systems or versions of success we never wanted. We feel behind, not good enough, like we're running toward a moving end post.

Reflection is how we untangle.

It’s a chance for self-recognition. To ask: What did work ask me to be? What did I become to survive, to fit in, to grow? And is that who I want to be?

Last month, we sat with these questions and wrote about the new year as a ritual for examining all the things that have shaped and scarred us.

So, as you move through January, we hope you'll take a moment to reflect. Not to fix, but to see yourself clearly. To untangle what's yours from what's been handed to you. To ask what you want next, and why. No grand overhaul needed.

EverMore is here to help you do that. We're building a space for reflection, for untangling, for fully stepping into your authentic career.

xoxo,

EverMore

cults & culture

Our most listened to podcast episode in 2025 was our dive into cults and work cultures as a path to identity. Whether innocuous or not...

It’s dangerous when your identity is set upon something that is outside of you and your control.

We shared our personal experiences as well as what expectations and burdens we’re letting go of because they no longer reflect who we are.

There’s a tightening and erasing of thoughts when I overthink other people’s needs…instead of growing into who I want to be.
